ENSEMBLE CLASS AUDITION
Auditions for Ensemble will be held Thursday, Feb 4 beginning at 7:30pm at The Studio,

227 E. Main St

in Norman. Performers are asked to arrive at The Studio no later than 7:30pm and will be called in individually for a vocal audition. There will be no audition appointment times.

Please be prepared to sing 16-32 bars from standard Broadway-style song. Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. No backtracks or a cappella auditions will be permitted. After the vocal auditions, directors will hold a dance audition. Please bring clothing you can move in.
A list of those selected for the class will be posted on “The Studio” page of The Sooner Theatre web site before the first class which will begin Feb. 11. Students are selected for the class at the sole discretion of the instructors/director.

Ensemble Class Description

Grades 9-12, By Audition Only

Tuition: $50/mo.
This High School Ensemble experience will include intensive work on auditions for both productions and COLLEGE! Selected by audition, students in this class will work on large and small ensemble numbers to be performed in the April 17 Showcase. Students will also learn how to:
* select audition material
* audition for shows and for college/university programs
* go through the college audition/application process (even fill out college applications!)
This class will also work on music and choreography to be performed in the April 17 Showcase. This is a production class.

SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM AUDITION
Auditions: February 8, beginning at 7 pm
Location: The Studio of The Sooner Theatre, 227 E. Main Street(one block east of The Sooner Theatre)

Callbacks: February 9, beginning at 7 pm
Location: The Sooner Theatre, 101 E. Main Street

Performers should be 18 years of age or older.

Prepare 16 bars (or a quick 32 bars) from two pieces: one uptempo/one ballad, either a Stephen Sondheim song or in the style of Sondheim. Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. No backtracks or a cappella auditions will be permitted.

Also, please bring a headshot/photo and resume. These will not be returned.
